Spok Go: Activity Inbox

Spok Go is a clinical collaboration platform

Spok Go is a clinical communication platform. Its goal is to be a unified platform for healthcare providers to collaborate. A hospital might have several disparate systems (Paging, Messaging, EHR (Electronic Health Records), Scheduling, Nurse Call, etc.) which are not able to effectively talk to one another. For example, a doctor might have one system where they get messages from other providers and another system they receive test results that were ordered for their patient. Spok Go is meant to be a bridge between these systems and the user, providing them with one location to effectively collaborate and get the information they need to provide the best and most efficient care possible.

Spok Go as a platform has many different services and integrations to enable care across a hospital. But the heart of the system is the Activity Inbox where users can receive and send activities within the system. The most basic of these activities are messages, but the interface needs to be flexible to support Lab Results, Radiology Results, Nurse Call Alerts, and activities integrated into Spok Go by third-party systems.

I worked with our team to design an interface for the webapp side of the application that was both user friendly and flexible.
